Team Setup
During my time at Impala Studios I took on various roles, however most of my time there I was a manager of the design department. At the start, the design and UX departments were split and I was managing the UX department.

Three months into my role as manager, I was asked to combine the two departments. That is when the Experience Design department was formed. At first the department consisted of Product and Marketing Designers which was a total of 5 designers. Later we also added a Data Analyst to our department.

In my last two months I decided to fulfil the role of a Product Designer, as I realised I missed designing.
My Key Contributions
When forming the Experience Design department, together with the team we advocated for and introduced a number of changes:

• Created & align design strategy to company strategy together with design department
• Distributed Product Designers into cross-functional teams with developers and                      marketeers
• Opened up the design process to include developers earlier in the process
• Introduced stakeholder feedback and management into the design process
• Introduced version control system
• Hired a Data Analyst, and established a data-informed culture with data processes in             place
• "The Flight Tracker redesign" 2019-2021 (as interim Product Manager/XD Manager)
• "The Weather" improve affordability & usability of location change functionality (as                Product Designer)
